Mississippi Radio station KIX 92.7 recently received an anonymous bomb threat after David Mueller was hired to host two of its morning shows. The DJ was previously accused of groping Taylor Swift.

Less than 24 hours after Mueller's hiring, the station reportedly received an e-mail. "You will be sorry for what you've done. Enjoy the bomb," it reads.

Ray Moore, a Mississippi police chief, confirmed the reports.

"We then contacted the sheriff's department who brought in a bomb dog. We went through the building and found no threats," said Moore.

Why Did Larry Fuss Hire David Mueller?

On Wednesday, Larry Fuss, the CEO of Delta Radio, defended his decision to hire the controversial DJ. Even though Mueller was found guilty of groping Swift, Fuss said that he believes the DJ's version of the story.

"I sat down with him face-to-face in Minneapolis before I offered him the job and talked to him about it. He's either the world's best liar, or he's telling the truth. I tend to believe his version of the story and most people who have talked to him face-to-face do believe his version of the story," said Fuss.

The DJ has been tapped as the host of KIX's Stonewall Jackson. He will also be co-hosting the station's other morning show Jackson and Jonbob. Fuss said that the radio station has been looking for a host since July.

"There was something in the trades about Mueller looking for a job, and he said he'd go anywhere and he'd even work for free to get back on the air. When I finally talked to him, I said, 'I don't expect you to work for free, but I don't have a budget like the station in Denver does," explained Fuss.

The CEO also acknowledged the fact that his decision to hire Mueller drew criticisms, but mostly from Swift's fans. Fuss said that singer's unnamed supporters are urging everyone to go on the KIX Facebook page and post negative comments about the station.

Taylor Swift Wins In Court

Mueller and Swift faced off in court two years after the DJ filed a lawsuit against the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer. Mueller blamed Swift for his firing and said that he was wrongfully accused of groping the 28-year-old artist.

Swift alleged that her complaints are accurate, and a judge sided with her during the final court hearing. The DJ was asked to pay Swift a symbolic $1 for groping her.
