Nick Gordon has reportedly been arrested in Florida this weekend for domestic battery. The 29-year-old was the former boyfriend of late singer Bobbi Kristina Brown.

On Saturday morning, March 10, the police responded to a domestic disturbance in Gordon's home where he lives with his current girlfriend, Laura Leal.

Domestic Battery

According to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office (via People), Gordon told the authorities that he wanted Leal to leave his home after Leal ripped his shirt and threw a bottle at him. He called his girlfriend "crazy" and said that the woman attacked him unprovoked.

However, both parties admitted that they have consumed alcoholic beverages prior to the altercation.

On the other hand, Leal claimed that she picked Gordon up from a bar. He struck her on the face while she was driving, pulled her hair, and told her that he will make her wreck the car.

An officer who responded to the incident observed that Leal has a swollen bottom lip. She, however, refused medical attention.

Leal also refused to press charges, but Gordon was arrested for domestic violence based on her statements and her injuries. After he posted bail of $500, he was released.

Gordon is scheduled to appear in court on April 6.

This is not the first time that Gordon was arrested for domestic violence. Last year, his previous girlfriend was punched after an argument at a sports bar.

According to report by TMZ at the time, Gordon was jealous because he thinks that the woman was trying to hook up with one of his friends. She got away from him after she woke up his mother who was staying at his home.

Nick Gordon And Bobbi Kristina Brown

Gordon is still under investigation for the unfortunate death of Bobbi Kristina, daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. She passed away in July 2015 after spending six months in a medically induced coma. She was 22 years old.

Brown's estate filed a $50 million suit against Gordon who was said to have given Bobbi Kristina a "toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water."

The judge found Gordon "legally responsible" for the death of Bobbi Kristina and awarded the estate $36 million.

In a previous interview, Brown said that he feels that justice has not been served for the death of his daughter.

"Because he's still walking around free," he told The Rolling Stone. "If he was locked up somewhere where somebody can rape him. That's just how I feel. He raped me by taking my daughter away."
