After months of anticipation, an international release date that has come and gone and plenty of catchy pop-punk singles, it's here. Today (July 22), One Direction protégé 5 Seconds Of Summer has released its debut album in the United States.

5SOS began its promotion of its debut LP all the way back in February with the release of the album's lead single "She Looks So Perfect." Full of poppy hooks, mentions of American Apparel underwear and just the right amount of attitude, the Australian foursome was able to break away from the shadow of One Direction with its own spin on what a boy band can do (mainly, play their own instruments).

5 Seconds of Summer has been teasing the release of its debut LP steadily ever since, by releasing official studio audio versions of "Kiss Me Kiss Me," "Don't Stop," "Amnesia" and hyping up its dedicated fanbase all the while.

Though 5 Seconds Of Summer is the debut full-length album for the popular up-and-coming pop-punk boy band 5 Seconds Of Summer, it's not the group's first official release. The LP follows four 5SOS EPs, including She Looks So Perfect, which was released in March of this year and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

During its debut week, 5SOS sold 143,000 copies of She Looks So Perfect, falling just behind the then-unstoppable Frozen soundtrack.
