Mandy Moore recently shared the real story behind her engagement ring. Her fiancé, Taylor Goldsmith, gave it to her last fall.

During a recent interview, the A Walk to Remember actress said that she is not really fond of wearing jewelry. This is why she was caught by surprise when Goldsmith proposed to her. He gave the actress a customized round-cut diamond on rose gold band designed by Irene Neuwirth.

"I've never been someone who wears a lot of jewelry. When my boyfriend and I started talking about getting engaged last year, I told him I didn't want a big ring. I figured we could just pick out some pretty bands together. So you can imagine how surprised I was when he proposed with this beautiful ring in the fall!" said Moore.

The actress immediately fell in love with her engagement ring and said that she now could not live without it. She said that the jewelry became even more special after Goldsmith took everything she wanted into consideration while designing it.

Mandy Moore Talks About Her Wedding

Other than her engagement ring, Moore also talked about her wedding dress and said that it will not be traditional.

"I've never been the girl that wanted to wear a white dress. No judgment, but it's not for me," said Moore.

When it comes to her wedding ceremony, Moore said that she and Goldsmith want to keep things small and intimate. Since both she and Goldsmith are very private people, only their respective families and a small group of friends will be invited to their nuptials.

Mandy Moore's Workout

In related news, Moore is preparing for her wedding by hitting the gym on a regular basis. Jason Walsh, the founder of Rise Nation and Moore's personal trainer, said that the actress is dedicated to reach her fitness goals.

"I'll see her sometimes four or five days a week. Sometimes when she's really busy and has a hectic schedule, it'll only be three times a week. She's a morning person," said Walsh.

The personal trainer said that Moore suffers from back pain, so they created a fitness program that will help address the problem. Her workouts consist of hip extensions and thrusts.

Moore also does pull-ups, back extensions, banded hip extensions, and more. They also focus on lateral movements that can help strengthen core parts of the body. Walsh also accompanies Moore when she does crunches and planks on a Pilates ball.
