Danish indie rock duo the Raveonettes have suddenly released their seventh album Pe'ahi, without any promotion or advance notice. The album is now available for purchase on iTunes and can be streamed on Spotify, which you can listen to below.

Named for a surfing spot in Hawaii, Pe'ahi is the Raveonette's first album since 2012's Observator. The album features ten tracks and was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who is best known for producing M83's double album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming back in 2011.

The band has also shared a lyric video for the album's opening track, the characteristically hazy "Endless Sleeper," which you can watch below. Explaining the song's origins, singer/guitarist Sune Rose Wagner said in a statement, "It's about a horrific near-drowning experience I had in Hawaii some years ago. It's about taking risks in order to exist. The song features a lot of recurring musical ideas of Pe'ahi such as Old Skool breakbeats, exaggerate dynamics, unconvention song structures, staccato guitar picking, intense layered vocals, etc."

Formed back in 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Raveonettes consists of Wagner and vocalist/bassist/guitarist Sharin Foo. Wagner performs the instruments on most of the band's albums, though additional musicians accompany the duo during live performances.

Here's the tracklist for Pe'ahi:

01. Endless Sleeper
02. Sisters
03. Killer in the Streets
04. Wake Me Up
05. Z-Boys
06. A Hell Below
07. The Rains of May
