Arctic Monkeys just announced the reissue of its debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, on "smoke" vinyl.

The reissue of the compilation, which was first released in 2006, will be available next month via the subscription service Vinyl Me, Please. The album set will also feature a 16-page colored booklet filled with lyrics, photos, and an original poem by John Cooper Clarke.

Additionally, the booklet will contain one-liner notes by Paul Stokes, and an exclusive art print and a cocktail recipe.

Vinyl Me, Please Releases Statement

Cameron Schaefer, the head of music at Vinyl Me, Please, released a statement regarding the upcoming launch of the debut album set from Arctic Monkeys.

"There was this period in the early 2000s after 'Is This It' came out, when the Strokes, Kings of Leon, and Arctic Monkeys were at various points of their arc, where it felt like rock n' roll was going to be OK. There were these three bands that felt like they could be really huge, and be a big deal," said Schaefer.

Arctic Monkeys' Sixth Album

Other than the group's vinyl reissue, Arctic Monkeys is also gearing up for the upcoming release of its sixth studio album. Alex Turner, the frontman of the group, also confirmed that his band will drop a new song very soon.

Nick O'Malley, the bassist of Arctic Monkeys, said that the group's sixth studio album will be available in May. During a recent interview, he said that if they don't release the album by then, it means that there is a problem.
