Zayn Malik opens up about his second album and says that he already got the whole concept figured out. However, he still does not know when the project will be released.

In a recent interview, the former One Direction member also said that his second album will be different from his first.

"I'm trying to keep it as mysterious as possible but there's a plan with the roll out. It's going to be different o I think anything anyone has done before. It's going to be interesting to see how the audience reacts to this kind of release but I wanted to try something different. I think it's all going to make sense in the end when the album finally drops," said Malik.

The complete tracklist for Malik's album has not yet been released, but he already dropped the song "Let Me." The 25-year-old singer has also shared the official music video for the song to his fans via YouTube and Vevo.

Why Zayn Malik Left One Direction

Malik released his first studio album Mind of Mine on March 25, 2016. The compilation was made available to fans just months after he left One Direction. In a previous interview, the singer explained why he decided to leave the British boy band to pursue his solo music career.

He said that One Direction has helped him to have a comfortable life, and he felt that it's time to just share music that's true to who he is as an artist. He also said that he's not 100 percent behind One Direction's songs.

"It wasn't me. It was music that was already given to us, and we were told this is what is going to sell to these people. As much as we were the biggest, most famous boy band in the world, it felt weird. We were told to be happy about something that we weren't happy about," said Malik.
