Bad Gal RiRi's fans will be getting new music from the pop superstar and business magnate soon. Rihanna is reportedly back in the recording studio.

After launching a successful makeup brand, the 30-year-old star is currently working on not just one, but two new albums.

Two-Disc Album

According to a source, Rihanna has been working on her next album since Anti was released back in 2016.

"Rihanna wasn't happy with how her last album performed - even though she loved how it turned out, she knows she needs a new project full of smash hits to avoid two back-to-back flops," an unnamed insider told Metro.

Anti was not exactly a flop. It peaked at the number one spot of the Billboard 200 in February 2016. The album also spawned hit single "Work."

However, for her next album, Rihanna wanted to make sure that there will be a number of tracks that will enter and top the music charts.

"She's currently recording two albums — one full of chart-friendly songs," added the source. She also would not sacrifice her artistic integrity by releasing an album that will be full of catchy pop tracks. The other disc, the source said, will feature experimental tracks to give the singer-songwriter the creative freedom she requires and deserves.

She will release two albums if the songs do not "mesh" well in one, the publication reported.

Not much is known about the project, but NME noted that Rihanna registered two new songs with the ASCAP last year: "Phatty" and "Only One Who Knows." Whether these two new unheard tracks will make it to the album remains unknown.

Despite the absence of a new album, the Barbadian singer-songwriter remains to be one of the most popular and influential artist. She recently became the first female artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Apple Music, beating Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Adele.

Other Projects

Aside from her music, Rihanna is also busy with a myriad of other creative outlets such as her own makeup line Fenty Beauty.

On Twitter, she announced her own line of lingerie called "Savage" in time for the National Lingerie Day. She previewed the collection by posting a photo of herself wearing a white and red lace bodysuit.

Rihanna is also set to appear on the big screen alongside Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham-Carter, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, and Anne Hathaway on the all-female Ocean's 8 slated to be released on June 8.
