Today Katy Perry shared the overwhelmingly colorful and flashy lyric video for her next single "This Is How We Do," which you can check out below. "This Is How We Do" will be the fifth single released from her album Prism after "Roar," "Unconditionally," "Dark Horse," and "Birthday."

Like so many other pop songs in recent years (including Wiz Khalifa's latest, which was leaked yesterday), "This Is How We Do" is yet another YOLO party anthem. The visuals of the lyric video are appropriately wild and eye grabbing, with plenty of imagery inspired by '80s pop culture, or at least the version of the '80s that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City took place in.

There's a ton of chrome, neon, leopard skin, and even some typeface swiped right from the poster of Back to the Future. However, the lyrics themselves are pretty questionable, seemingly encouraging people to blow their rent money on alcohol, and since it's 2014, I'm anticipating some accusations of racism based on the use of the word "Japanesey," in reference to Perry's nails, though it wouldn't be the first time Perry's been accused of cultural insensitivity towards the people of Japan.

Prism was released back in October 2013 and debuted at the top of the Billboard charts. Two of the album's previous singles, "Roar" and "Dark Horse," both topped Billboard's Hot 100. The album's second single "Unconditionally" peaked at No. 14, while her most recent single "Birthday" peaked at No. 17.
