Charles Kelley may travel the world with Lady Antebellum and call Nashville home when he's not on the road, but the Augusta, Georgia native is still a "Georgia boy" at heart. He and his brothers, Josh and John have announced that they will be hosting the first ever Kelley Brothers and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament and Concert in October in order to give back to the community they grew up in. Proceeds from the event will go to charities including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the John W. Kelley, M.D., Cardiovascular Endowment at University Health Care System in Augusta and other local Augusta-based charities.

The event will take place on October 27, 2014 at the Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Georgia, the only Championship Golf Club in the world designed by the Big Three – Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. After the golf tournament is over (7:30 p.m.), the brothers Kelley will be joined by musical guests Lady Antebellum (and others who have yet to be named) for a concert at the Lady Antebellum Pavilion at Evans Towne Center Park.

Sponsorship packages for 4 players range from $5000 to $25,000. Tickets for the concert are on sale for $35.

This isn't the first time one of the Kelley brothers gave to the John W. Kelley, M.D., Cardiovascular Endowment. In 2010, Josh performed at the Fourth Annual Young Philanthropist concert event, which raised over $50,000 for the education and training of cardiovascular clinicians.

The loyalty to the Endowment is truly a family affair as Dr. John W. Kelly is Charles, Josh and John's father. He retired from the Augusta medical community in March 2006 after practicing cardiology in the area for 28 years.
