Michael Jackson has been a musical influence to just about every hip-hop and R&B artist, including 2 Chainz. The Atlanta rapper recently paid homage to the King of Pop by recreating the legendary "Thriller" video in his visual for "Freebase."

In the video, Chainz rocks a red leather jacket similar to the one worn by the late singer. Things get spooky after his car breaks down and he and his on-screen love interest are chased by zombies.

Careful not to overstep his boundaries, 2 Chainz included this message at the beginning of the video: "This video is for entertainment purposes only and dedicated to one of my favorite artists. In no kind of way is it our intent to disrespect the legacy of the greatest entertainer of all time."

"Might need a movie gig after this," 2 Chainz tweeted when teasing the video debut.

"Freebase" is featured on his same-titled mixtape, which was released back in May.

The 7-track offering features guest appearances Lil Boosie, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign and Cap-1 with production by Mike WiLL Made It, Metro Boomin and Young Chop.

"It has been a minute since the release of my album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time and I wanted to give something special to my fans while I record my follow up album," 2 Chainz said in a press release for the EP. "This is a taste of what is to come, and is most importantly for them."

No word yet on when to expect another album but 2 Chainz will be featured on DJ Mustard's forthcoming release, as previously reported.
