Big K.R.I.T. has been hard at work on his sophomore studio album, Cadillactica, and he recently released his first official single, "Pay Attention."

The track, produced by Jim Jonsin, features Rico Love on hook duty singing, "I should be paying more attention to you." K.R.I.T. raps about his fixation on one lady in the room.

Check it out below.

Earlier this month, K.R.I.T., who takes pride in producing his own music, revealed to Hot New Hip-Hop that he had recruited other producers to help out with production on the album.

"It was difficult at first, just because I'm so used to being in control," he said. "But working with other producers, I learned a lot too... So even the music I produce for myself is becoming bigger and is sounding stronger, and being able to work with a Jim Jonsin, DJ Dahi, Terrace Martin is beautiful."

During the interview, K.R.I.T. also spoke on the concept of Cadillactica, which he described as picking "up where 'Live From The Underground' left off, and telling the story of where the Cadillac came from. It crash-lands on Planet Earth, which to me was mainstream music. Being so underground with my music and rebellious, I wanted to do it my own way, and just tell the story in reverse."

However, K.R.I.T. didn't mention any guest appearances, and he didn't offer up a definite release date.

"It's gonna be still hot enough outside to ride with your windows down and your top dropped, trust me," he said when asked when fans could expect the album.
