Eddie Vedder, the frontman of Pearl Jam, is giving away a copy of his 2007 single in support of his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.

This week, he announced that fans who will purchase a ticket to the upcoming Cubs-Reds game on July 6 at the Wrigley Field will get a 7-inch vinyl of the track "All The Way." The single is pressed on a blue and red vinyl — the official colors of the major league baseball team.

On the other side of the free vinyl, the tribute song "Go Cubs, Go" by Steve Goodman from 1984 is also featured.

Eddie Vedder's 'All The Way'

Vedder penned "All The Way" in the behest of Ernie Banks, a professional baseball player who played for the Cubs until the 70s. He was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.

An official music video for the track was created back in 2008 during the Cubs' playoff run and, later, updated when Vedder's band Pearl Jam played at the Wrigley Field in 2013.

Another music video for "All The Way" was released when the Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016.

The support of the 53-year-old musician, who was born and raised in Illinois, to the Cubs over the years never faltered. He has always been present in the lives of the Cubs and its fans, attending games and cheering with the public.

Last year, he made headlines during the games after jamming outside of the Wrigley Field stadium following a win by the Cubs.

According to The Washington Post, he played with Manny Miller and Jack McKee, street musicians known as the SideStreets.

The 7-inch red and blue vinyl containing "All The Way" was released by Third Man Pressing, the vinyl record pressing plant owned by musician Jack White.

Third Man Pressing also released last year a special vinyl for "Strike Out," a song for and inspired by the Detroit Tigers. The other side of the MLB record featured an interview of the Tigers legend Kirk Gibson.

Similar to Vedder's "All The Way," fans were able to grab a copy of the Detroit Tigers vinyl by purchasing a ticket to last year's games.

Pearl Jam recently kicked off the European leg of their "Live 2018 Tour" at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The band will next appear for performances in venues in Laandgraaf and London in the next couple of days.
