Cardi B and The Carters — Beyoncé and Jay-Z — lead the nominees of the upcoming 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

On Monday, July 16, MTV unveiled the full list of nominees featuring the hottest names in the music industry. It was revealed via IGTV in partnership with Instagram.

The red carpet and awarding ceremony will take place at the Radio City Music Hall on Aug. 20. The event will also be aired simultaneously on television and online beginning 9 p.m. ET/PT.

New mom Cardi B continues to be the fastest-rising woman of rap. The 25-year-old has received 10 nominations including Artist of the Year and Best New Artist.

"Finesse," her collaboration with Bruno Mars, also dominated the list of nominees, receiving a total of five nods including Video of the Year and Song of the Year. Meanwhile, the career-making "Bartier Cardi," which has gone platinum recently, also got a nomination for Best Hip Hop Video.

The Carters are not backing down. Despite having only released their joint album, Everything is Love, last month, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have eight nominations. Their song "Apes***" will be battling Cardi B and Mars' "Finesse," Drake's "God's Plan," Childish Gambino's "This Is America" for Video of the Year. The husband-and-wife tandem is also in the running for Best Collaboration, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and more categories.

Drake and Childish Gambino both have seven nominations each. Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Foo Fighters, Panic! at the Disco, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy, Eminem, and Ed Sheeran also received nominations.

"It has already been a monumental year in music, and this year's 'VMAs' will take things to a whole new level," said Viacom's Head of Music and Music Talent, Bruce Gillmer, in a statement to Variety. "The extraordinary group of nominees have amazed us with their talent and inspired us with their creativity — and when you get them together for one night, anything is possible."

Fans can now start voting for their favorites starting today at the official website of MTV. Eight categories including Video of the Year, Best New Artist, and Artist of the Year.

Voting ends on Aug. 10, Friday, except for the Best New Artist category, which will be open until the VMAs' broadcast. The award was presented by Taco Bell.

Last year's awarding ceremony was hosted by Katy Perry and featured performances from Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus, Logic, and more.
