Rapper Fetty Wap was charged with assault by a woman in Los Angeles.

According to the complaint by Lanie Langlinais, which was filed by her lawyer Greg Kirakosian. Fetty Wap  pushed, grabbed, chocked, and threatened her after he became heavily drunk at a party held at his home on the evening of June 19, 2019. The case was filed last Monday at the California Superior Court, as per Billboard report.

Langlinais is now suing the singer for the cases of assault and battery, gender violence, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress over the incident between her and the singer.

"Throughout the incident and following the incident, Plaintiff felt extreme fear for her health and safety and felt extreme pain and swelling on numerous parts of her body," according to the complaint. "To date, Plaintiff continues to suffer from extreme distress, humiliation, indignation, and outrage as a result of Fetty Wap's intoxicated and violent conduct."

Langlinais also accused the rapper of grabbing her in her arm, neck and hair. The action caused her clothes and necklace ripped from her body. She also alleged that many witnesses were forced to rush to help her as the assault continued. The rapper was allegedly shouting "I'll kill you" many times as she is escaping from the party.

After she left the party, she called 911 to report the crime and she was "informed and believes" that he was already charged over the situation. However according to her, there are not charges being done against Fetty Wap

"It is shameful that the LAPD and district attorney overlooked the violent strangling and battery of women at the hands of a celebrity," according to Kirakosian in a statement given to Billboard. "We look forward to pursuing this matter to a jury trial and getting justice for our client."

Langlinais is asking the court for economic and non-economic damages, prejudgment interest and interest on damages, punitive and exemplary damages, and payments to the attorney.

Fetty Wap's representative did not leave a comment.
