Fans will get to hear Cady Groves' last work as her team announced the singer-songwriter's upcoming posthumous album to be released next Friday, May 29.

In an interview with People magazine, representatives for the late musician said that Groves finished her album, "Bless My Heart," when the global COVID-19 pandemic struck. Her new EP will feature five songs, which will include a reprise of her "The Crying Game," a cover of the James Blunt single "Bartender," and two original tracks, "Cigarettes and Sunshine" and "Camo" plus the title track.

The lifestyle and human-interest portal also received the exclusive sample of Cady Groves' "Bless My Heart." The song, privately uploaded on the artist's Soundcloud account.

Music critic Holly Gleason interviewed the 30-year-old artist before her untimely passing and described it as "Groves' truth set to song, today."

"The crazy nights, the stupid fights, and the givin' up/ Won't somebody come and bless my heart?" the chorus to her newly-released single went.

Gleason added how the song follows how Groves' chased her dream and through the tough stuff, describing it as "a fistful of polaroids from a promising young life."

Cady's uphill battle is chronicled in her verse "Got a million scars, don't know where to start/ Can anybody hear me now?/ Like a shootin' star, got me through the dark/ Can anybody hear me?"

In a press release on Groves' website, the team said that Cady "pent the last year working on material with the team from Shane McAnally's SMACKSongs and had recently signed with the Thirty Tigers label, with a summer 2020 release in the works." The Nashville-based music company will be working with Groves' team to bring forth "Bless My Heart."

Cody Groves, Cady's brother, broke the news of her sister's passing on May 2. Together with the singer's record label, Cody confirmed that her death was due to natural causes. Cody Graves, aside from having to deal with the death of a loved one, also had to fend off Internet troll who insinuated other reasons for the unfortunate incident. In a Twitter post, he clarified that "The medical examiner has completed autopsy and there was no indication of foul play or self-harm."
