Klassik Frescobar: A Glimpse Into His Early Life
Born in New York and Raised In Jamaica, Klassik Frescobar's love for music started at an early age when he stumbled upon his mother's old cassette player. Growing up listening to the music of Dancehall artists like Beenie Man, Sean Paul, and Bounty Killa, it was these artists and their songs that inspired him to infuse Dancehall in Soca later in his career.
When Klassik Frescobar moved back to New York at the age of 13, he carried his love for music along with him. A few years later, he set out on his songwriting journey and adopted the pseudonym Frescobar which is the combination of the Spanish word "Fresco", which means fresh, and "Bar", a unit of measurement in music.
His Journey As An Artist
In collaboration with Ricky Blaze, Red Cafe, Cory Gunz, XV, and Currensy, Klassik Frescobar released a mixtape in 2010 named "Sleep When I Die". Later In 2014, he relocated to Miami and started working with American rapper Red Cafe.
What makes his music stand out is the unique infusion of Jamaican Dancehall into the congenial beats of Soca. His energizing voice adds to the brilliance of the piece making it euphonious and appealing.
