It's been 25 years since the release of Spike Lee's classic film Do The Right Thing and Beats Music celebrated in a major way with a new documentary.

According to Billboard, the doc reunites director Spike Lee with several members of the film's cast and crew as they return to the streets of Brooklyn.

Do the Right Thing 25 Anniversary: A Beats Music Experience was released on Beats' YouTube page on Thursday (Aug. 14).

In the 23-minute clip, Lee tours the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood that served as the backdrop for Do The Right Thing with actor Danny Aiello, who starred in the film as pizzeria owner Sal, and production designer Wynn Thomas.

The documentary captures Lee trying to identify specific shoot locations while checking in with the neighborhood's residents, many of whom have lived there for decades.

Do the Right Thing 25 Anniversary also features a block party sponsored by Beats featuring appearances by Dave Chappelle, Wesley Snipes, Mos Def and a performance of "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy, which served as an anthem for the film and one of its most notable characters Radio Raheem.

"You were putting together a film that spoke to all the inequities of the New York City area, and asked us to come along and make an anthem for it," Public Enemy frontman Chuck D said in a moment with Lee. "We were honored with the task."

Earlier this month, Chuck released a song with Mavis Staples criticizing the current state of hip-hop music. On the track, he blasts hip-hop for demoralizing the black community and putting too much emphasis on material things.

"I be seeing old folks applaud nonsense that we cannot afford, flashback now ruining some box with sex and teen pop people's hip-hop stop," he raps.
