Bieber has joined in on the action.

According to The Source, Justin Bieber recently posted a video on his Instagram account accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The pop star was nominated by his manager Scooter Braun.

The fact that JB participated in the challenge, which raises money to battle Lou Gehrig's Disease, isn't too shocking but one of his nominees will raise an eyebrow.

"I accept, now I nominate @Theellenshow my main man President Barack Obama and @chrisdelia #alsicebucketchallenge," Bieber captioned the video.

Aside from Bieber, Lady Gaga and Drake recently participated in the challenge.

Gaga's nominations included Adele, Michael Rapino, Vincent Herbert, Arthur Fogel and other rich people while Drake kept it simple calling on Beyonce.

The New York Times reports that the Ice Bucket Challenge has helped raise more than $13 million in donations over the past three weeks:

People have shared more than 1.2 million videos on Facebook between June 1 and Aug. 13 and mentioned the phenomenon more than 2.2 million times on Twitter since July 29, according to those sites. Donations to the ALS Association have spiked. As of Sunday, the association said it had received $13.3 million in donations since July 29, compared with $1.7 million during the same period last year. It said there were about 260,000 new donors. (With a spate of celebrities and business executives joining in over the past few days and pledging contributions, that number is expected to rise.)

It'd really be something to see President Obama accept the challenge.
