Atlanta rap trio Migos are the latest to use their music as the backdrop for a mini movie. According to Complex, Migos have created a trap musical titled Bando, inspired by Jay Z's 1998 musical film Streets Is Watching.

The site reports songs from their YRN and No Label 2 mixtapes, including "Contraband," "Birds" and of course, "Bando," are featured throughout the film.

Bando, the film, portrays the lives of the three young rappers and their ultimate rise to fame. The film will highlight all of the trials and tribulations they had to go through to make it to the top of the game. The mini movie was directed by Rik Cordero and produced by Quality Control Music.

"We had a different ambition, we had a different way and we always got money," Quavo said of the short film. "We always trend set. And we had some people down. I was down. But we came back up all together and all together we winning. This is how it all started."

On Tuesday (Aug. 19) former Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta star singer K. Michelle premiered her Rebellious Soul: K. Michelle the Musical through VH1.

The 30-minute "hip hopera" directed by Golden Globe-nominated actor Idris Elba, centered on nine tracks from the outspoken songstress' debut album including "When I Get a Man," "Hate on Her," "V.S.O.P." and "Can't Raise a Man." In addition to Jay Z, Migos and K. Michelle join R. Kelly and Beyonce as artists who have used their music in film.

Back in 2005, R. Kelly captivated fans with the release of his Trapped in the Closet series which went on to release 33 chapters.

In 2001, Beyonce starred in Carmen: A Hip Hopera, a musical film produced for television by MTV.
