Shakira is a mommy-to-be again!
After much speculation, she confirmed the baby news to the Spanish edition of Cosmopolitan. "Yes, the truth is that yes, I'm pregnant," she told the magazine.
The baby will be Shakira's second with boyfriend, Barcelona soccer player Gerard Piqué. Their first child, Milan, was born in January 2013.
Earlier this year, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer talked about the possibility of wedding bells ringing.
"If I have to marry because someone said, 'Shakira, this is the only way you can be in a relationship,' I would marry him in a second. He's the one," she said, as reported by CBS News.
Shakira and Piqué started dating in 2010 after meeting on the set of her music video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The big announcement comes as a surprise as the singer earlier this year said she was too busy with music to have children. But she did mention that she isn't against having more children with Piqué. In fact, she wants a lot more children.
"If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard — my own futbol team," she told Latina back in April.
She also said that having her son has impacted her in a major way.
"I used to go in circles around an idea, but since he arrived I don't have much time — I have to rush back home — so he has helped me learn how to focus. When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel."
