Garth Brooks to Kick Off New SiriusXM Channel with Live Concert
Garth Brooks is without a doubt one of the most successful names in country music. Now the iconic artist is getting ready to launch his very own SiriusXM channel. The all new channel will feature songs from Brooks’ rich catalog including all your favorite hits, rare tracks and live concert recordings. The channel will also feature music curated by Brooks himself, as well as a hand picked team and special guest DJ’s. -
Billy Corgan Smashing Pumpkins and Social Justice Warriors
One could argue, as this author would, that the Smashing Pumpkins were one of the most influential rock bands of the 90’s. Their fantastic blend of heart songs and hard rock provided the soundtrack to the lives of many young poetry lovers and rage filled misfit youth alike. Recently, Smashing Pumpkins founder, vocalist and songwriter Billy Corgan teased an upcoming tour, sending many 30 somethings searching for their old Zero shirts and silver pants. The new “Plainsong” tour will feature softer versions of some of the band’s harder songs. Corgan also announced that he is working on a road documentary centered on the everyday American. The poet has also become a vocal spiritual/political Infowarrior, making several recent appearances on The Alex Jones Show, where he has been speaking out against the “regressive left.” -
IOC President Blames Russian Doping Ban Delay on WADE
The 2016 Olympic Games are just days away and the fate of the Russian athletes accused of doping is still unknown. The International Olympic Community is still trying to sort out which athletes will be able to compete in Rio. It was revealed on Sunday that a final decision may not come until hours before the ceremonies begin on Friday. IOC President Thomas Bach is placing the blame for the delayed decision on the World Anti-Doping Agency. -
Anna & Elsa Elect Love at the 2016 DNC
Fans of Disney’s Frozen and musical theater were treated to special all star performance of Burt Bacharach's hit song, ‘"What the World Needs Now,” during the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Anna and Elsa voice actors Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel respectively, reunited last week, alongside an all star ensemble, for a special live performance as a tribute to the victims of the horrible Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre.
