  • Jeff Bridges Releases Ambient Album 'Sleeping Tapes'

Actor Jeff Bridges is no stranger to the music community. He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a country singer in the film "Crazy Heart" and has even released two country albums, but his latest project is something that pretty much nobody expected. According to "The Wall Street Journal," Bridges has released an album of ambient music titled "Sleeping Tapes" and, as its name suggests, it is designed to help its listeners fall asleep -- that is the album cover above.
  • Arcade Fire's Will Butler Shares "Anna" Music Vid From Solo Debut 'Policy' [WATCH]

Arcade Fire member Will Butler has shared the music video for his single "Anna" from his upcoming debut studio album "Policy," which you can check out below. The video takes a cue from Radiohead's "Lotus Flower" video and features a single shot of Butler dancing alone to the song in a dark field. It also doubles as a lyric video and features some crude animation to visualize certain lyrics and musical passages, such as the images of various forms of currency to go along with the "money" refrain.
  • Snoop Dogg Drops New Verse on iLoveMakonnen's "21st Street" Remix [LISTEN]

Atlanta rapper ILoveMakonnen has shared a remix of his song "21st Street" featuring a new verse from Snoop Dogg, which you can check out below. The song originally appeared on Makonnen's 2014 mixtape Drink More Water 3, and again on Drink More Water 4, and according to XXL, this new remix was promised last year, when Makonnen shared its artwork (seen up above) through his Twitter account. The track features some pretty solid atmospheric production courtesy of DJ Spinz and Dun Deal, but Snoop is the real star here, delivering his verse with the same type of precise yet still relaxed flow that he's famous for.
  • The-Dream Shares Music Vid for "That's My S**t" [WATCH]

R&B singer The-Dream has shared the music video for his single "That's My S**t" featuring T.I., which you can check out below. The video finds The-Dream visiting some sort of weird, "Eyes Wide Shut" sex party with women in masks, while T.I. is playing dice back in his study. It may be misogynist, but at least it looks pretty different from your typical R&B/hip-hop music video.
  • Ringo Starr Announces New Album 'Postcards From Paradise'

Legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has announced his new solo album "Postcards from Paradise," which is set for release March 31. According to "radio.com," the album was produced by Starr himself and will feature guest appearances by many big-name artists such as Richard Marx, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh of The Eagles -- Starr's brother-in-law -- Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics and more.
  • Purity Ring Share "Push Pull" Music Vid From 'Another Eternity' [WATCH]

Canadian synthpop duo Purity Ring have shared the music video for their single "Push Pull," which you can check out below. The Renata Raksha-directed clip finds singer Megan James standing -- sometimes upside down -- in the middle of what looks like a blizzard, with occasional streams of bright light shining out of her mouth. The duo's other half, Corin Roddick, is nowhere to be found.
  • Björk Discusses 'Vulnicura' Leak, Says She Wanted To "Get It Out Of The Way" [LISTEN]

Like so many big albums these days, Björk's latest album Vulnicura was subjected to a leak last week, two months before its official release date. Instead of flipping out Madonna-style, however, Björk responded to the Vulnicura leak by officially releasing the album herself online, and in a new interview with BBC Radio 1 (via NME), the Icelandic singer opens up about her decision to release it early.

  • Charli XCX Records Japanese Versions of 'Boom Clap,' 'Break The Rules' [LISTEN]

Even though Charli XCX's great new album Sucker was released in the United States on Dec. 15, it doesn't come out in Japan until Feb. 8 for whatever reason. As a special treat for her Japanese fans who have been forced to wait so long on the album (the ones who haven't illegally downloaded it, anyway), XCX has recorded Japanese versions of two of the album's singles as bonus tracks: "Boom Clap" and "Break The Rules," which you can check out below. In true J-Pop fashion, these versions find XCX singing mostly in Japanese, but switching over to English for some key phrases (apparently there's no Japanese translation for "boom clap").
  • Yo Gotti Shares 'Concealed' Music Video from Latest Mixtape [WATCH]

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti has shared the music video for the title track to his Concealed mixtape, which you can check out below. The Phillflyboy-directed clip shows Gotti hanging around what is presumably his hometown with a bunch of his friends, riding his slick white car around town. Gotti must be pretty proud of this car, because there's even a close-up of its engine.
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers's John Frusciante Announces Acid Test Album 'Trickfinger,' Shares "After Below" [LISTEN]

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Mars Volta guitarist John Frusciante has announced a new solo album, a self-titled effort under the name Trickfinger -- the album cover is up above -- and has shared its opening track "After Below," which you can check out below. Though Frusciante has explored electronic music on his most recent solo releases, "Consequence of Sound" reported that Frusciante will be diving headfirst into a new "experimental acid house" style for this album. "Trickfinger" is set for release April 7 through Acid Test.
  • Chief Keef Shares Song "Voodoo" [LISTEN]

Although he dropped a new song "Hiding" only yesterday, Jan. 27, Chicago drill star Chief Keef is back with yet another new track titled "Voodoo," which you can check out below. This time around, the production is handled by KC Beatz, who gives the track a better beat than what we normally hear on a Keef track, opting to go the atmospheric route with a trap beat underneath. Perhaps inspired by the better-than-usual beat, Keef actually makes an effort to be somewhat coherent in his delivery -- or, as "Hot New Hip-Hop" puts it -- the lyrics "verge on intelligible."
  • Run the Jewels Share "Lie, Cheat, Steal" Vid [WATCH]

Hip-hop duo Run the Jewels have shared the music video for their song "Lie, Cheat, Steal," which you can check out below. The Ruffmercy-directed clip features El-P and Killer Mike simply rapping in front of a graffitied wall, though there is also some intense animation that punctuates every beat with flashes of red, which makes for quite a visually unique video.
  • War on Drugs's Adam Granduciel Discusses Sun Kil Moon Feud, New Music

One of the strangest and funniest music feuds in recent memory was the -- mostly -- one-sided battle between Sun Kil Moon and The War on Drugs from last year, throughout which War on Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel tried his best to take the high road and remain silent about the whole thing. Now, in a new interview with "Uncut," Granduciel has opened up a bit more about the feud, telling Sun Kil Moon frontman Mark Kozelek to "get over" himself and suggesting that Kozelek was perhaps "playing this part" instead of being genuinely outraged.
