The video, directed by Roman Coppola (screenwriting partner of Wes Anderson and son of Francis Ford Coppola), shows the Beasties and Nas rapping in a supermarket, intercut with some concert, studio and home video footage. According to "The Boot," the album is titled "Southern Style" and is set for release March 31 through Capitol Nashville. In support of the album, Rucker will be setting off on tour this spring, hitting 30 North American cities, starting with Holmdel, New Jersey, May 14. It will be Rucker's first non-Christmas album since 2013's "True Believers." "There's going to be some fun songs on the record," Rucker told "radio.com" about "Southern Style," "but just like I always do, you always write some songs about relationships and family because they always come up, and it's always some good song that you can't not record." For his Southern Style Tour, Rucker will be joined by Brett Eldredge, The Brothers Osborne and A Thousand Horses. Tickets go on sale Jan. 26, and though the exact dates have yet to set, a complete list of cities has been revealed, which you can check out below:
  • 10 Artists Who Paid Tribute To Their Parents In Their Music

Today, indie folk singer Sufjan Stevens announced the release of a new album Carrie & Lowell, which is named after his mother and stepfather and features a photograph of the two on the front cover. After all that rock music has done to encourage people to disobey their parents, it's honestly refreshing to see Stevens pay tribute to his parents this way, but he's far from the only rock artist who has done this. Here are 10 artists who have paid tribute to their parents in their music, either with one song or with entire albums.
  • 6 Artists Who Have Written Entire Albums for Other Artists

As a solo artist, writing an entire album's worth of songs for yourself can be a daunting enough task, but these artists found themselves so overflowing with creativity that they managed to write entire albums (or very close to it) for other artists, and in most cases, produce the albums as well.
  • Screaming Females Brush Their Teeth In "Criminal Image" Music Video [WATCH]

New Jersey punk trio Screaming Females have shared a new track titled "Criminal Image," off of their upcoming album 'Rose Mountain,' which you can check out here. The track is filled with some excellent riffage from guitarist Marissa Paternoster (who's truly one of America's best living guitarists), but has an uncharacteristic yet still excellent piano break in the middle. The song is accompanied with a video of the band brushing their teeth, because punk rock.
  • SXSW 'K-Pop Night Out' Showcase Returns for 3rd Year

Legendary Austin music festival South By Southwest will be hosting its third annual "K-Pop Night Out" showcase Thursday, March 19, at the Elysium Nightclub. Presented by the Korea Creative Content Agency, the showcase features performances by a selection of South Korean pop artists, with this year's bill including Hitchhiker, Epik High (pictured above), Crayon Pop, The Barbarettes, Asian Chairshot, EE and Eastern Sidekick. Though the term "K-pop" may suggest that all these artists fall under the same genre of music, "K-Pop Night Out" boasts quite a diverse selection. SXSW describes Epik High as the group responsible for "bringing hip-hop to the mainstream in Korea," while Eastern Sidekick is described as "an edgier Korean version of The Strokes." Other styles of music that are being represented at the showcase include girl group pop (Crayon Pop, The Barbarettes), alternative rock (Asian Chairshot) and bizarre dance music (EE, Hitchhiker).
  • Toto Announce New Album 'Toto XIV,' Their 1st in 9 Years [WATCH]

Pop rock veterans Toto, best known for their hits "Rosanna" and "Africa," have announced a new album titled "Toto XIV," which is set for release March 24. Though its title implies that this is the 14th Toto studio album, it is actually the 13th — maybe they are counting their 1984 soundtrack for David Lynch's Dune. Though the band's own website states that it is the first Toto album in 10 years, their last album "Falling in Between" was actually released nine years ago in 2006, so maybe they are just not good with numbers. In the album's video trailer — which you can check out below — keyboardist Steve Porcaro insists that the band is not going "through the motions" with "Toto XIV."
  • Fleet Foxes's Robin Pecknold Writes Music for Off-B'way Play 'Wyoming'

It has been nearly four years since we have heard a new Fleet Foxes album, but today it was revealed that Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold has composed the music for an upcoming off-Broadway play titled "Wyoming," which was written by Pecknold's cousin Brian Watkins and directed by Danya Taymor. According to "Stereogum," Pecknold co-wrote the music along with percussionist Neal Morgan, who is best known for his work with Bill Callahan and Pecknold's old touring partner Joanna Newsom — perhaps that is where they met? According to "Broadway World," "Wyoming" is a "biting, brilliant family drama about buried memories of a confounding childhood crime" produced by Lesser America. As of right now, Pecknold has no plans to record or release his score, which means you will have to go see the play, which runs from Jan. 15 to 31 at Theater for the New City in New York City. You can purchase tickets for "Wyoming" here. Fleet Foxes's most recent album "Helplessness Blues" was released in 2011. It was the Seattle band's second studio album overall, following their self-titled, debut album from 2008. Most recently, Pecknold embarked on a tour with members of Grizzly Bear, Wye Oak, Beach House and The Walkmen celebrating the music of late Byrds member Gene Clark.
  • R. Kelly Shares 'Happy Birthday' for 48th B-Day [LISTEN]

Today, Jan. 8, happens to be R. Kelly's 48th birthday, so in celebration the R&B legend has shared a new song, appropriately titled "Happy Birthday," which you can check out below. The track premiered on DJ MoonDawg's radio show in Kelly's native Chicago — which explains all of the annoying sounds in the beginning — and features Kelly doing some heavily Auto-Tuned singing about watching two girls make out — on his birthday, presumably — all over a pretty basic backing track. It is definitely not one of his best, but it is so ridiculous you should probably take a listen anyway. You can check out R. Kelly's "Happy Birthday" here:
