  • Death Grips's 'Jenny Death' Release Date, Tracklist Possibly Released

When experimental hip-hop group The Death Grips abruptly broke up July 2, 2014, canceling all subsequent tour dates in the process, they announced that the second disc, "Jenny Death," of their final album "The Powers That B" would be released at the end of the year. The first disc, "N---as on the Moon," was released in June 2014. The end of 2014 came and went without a new album from Death Grips, though new information was released on the album, including that it was finished and artwork was revealed to fans. The album still never got released, though that may soon change. According to reports and online retailers, the album could be arriving in the next month and a half and a rumored tracklist has been compiled as well, via Pigeons and Planes. According to Amazon, who inadvertently broke the news on J. Cole's album "2014 Forest Hills Drive," "Jenny Death" will be released in North America Feb. 10, a person said on Reddit, and then according to a Japanese retailer, HMV, the album will be available Feb. 25. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but this looks pretty definitive. The group released the lead single from the album, "Inanimate Sensation," Dec. 9, which would make this release date plausible. Below is a rumored tracklist for "Jenny Death" that sounds like a Death Grips-y album, though we will not know until it is officially announced.
  • Death Grips Share 'Inanimate Sensation' Music Vid from Upcoming 'Jenny Death'

Even though experimental hip-hop group Death Grips broke up in July, they still have yet to release "Jenny Death," the second half of their double album "The Powers That B." Today, Dec. 10, however, they have shared the first track from Jenny Death, titled "Inanimate Sensation," along with its unusual music video, which you can check out below. The entire video is bizarrely shown through a crashed jumbotron lying in the middle of an empty basketball stadium and features images of Death Grips frontman MC Ride — occasionally wearing huge googly eyes — rapping the song intercut with psychedelic, computer-generated visuals. As for the song itself, "Inanimate Sensation" is a sprawling six-minute track with typically abrasive and unsettling electronic production and should satisfy Death Grips fans while simultaneously horrifying everybody else. You can check out the music video for Death Grips's "Inanimate Sensation" here:
  • Label Splits Far More Intense Than Current Lil wayne Drama: Dr. Dre and Death Row, The Game and G-Unit and More

Depending on how much faith you put in social media, it seems Lil Wayne is hellbent to get away from Cash Money Records due to the label allegedly refusing to release his Tha Carter V. Depending on how much faith you put in statements from management, it seems that Weezy won't be jumping ship. We're more inclined to believe the latter...after all, Cash Money kind of owns Wayne's personal label Young Money. Regardless, there have been uglier splits than this is the history of hip-hop. Here are a few of the most dramatic:
