Bow Wow (aka Shad Moss) recently came under fire when it was revealed on numerous media outlets that he was renting his new Hollywood home versus owning it, which he implied. Apparently after DJ Funkmaster Flex's In Flex We Trust site posted on the tidbit of news, Moss became enraged and went off on the radio king via social media implying that he only likes to highlight the negative.

  • Hot 97's Summer Jam 2015: Trey Songz, Wiz Khalifa, Dej Loaf, Ty Dolla $ign & Omarion Take Over MetLife Stadium [PHOTOS]

With little sunlight left in the sky, Omarion opened Hot 97's annual concert Summer Jam around 6:30 p.m. and as a spotty crowd arrive, the former B2K member- turned-Love and Hip Hop Hollywood reality star warmed the crowd up to his old and new hits with MMG. Although, still mellow, the crowd quickly turned their moods way up once he began performing "Post To Be" and decided to play Jhene Aiko's verse just for his female fans, who burst out her signature line, "Eat the booty like groceries" before ending his set with his newest single, "I'm that N*gga."
  • Funkmaster Flex Hints at Possible Fugees Reunion

Funkmaster Flex has been a busy man lately getting groups back together. He was instrumental in bringing Dipset back together after years of infighting and each artist pursuing their own solo career to varying degrees of success. In a new interview with hiphop-n-more, the Hot 97 DJ listed off some of the projects he was working on and mentioned he was in doing something with The Fugees, the celebrated, multi-platinum and Grammy-award winning 1990's hip-hop, soul and reggae group.

  • Dame Dash Discusses Jay Z Vs. Funkmaster Flex Beef

The Jay Z-Funkmaster Flex beef has cooled off somewhat, but that does not mean it has gone away entirely. There were some pretty serious accusations thrown out there by Funkmaster Flex, including that Jay Z does not let anybody play Dipset at the 40/40 Club and HOV had used an interview for his website "lifeandtimes.com" as a rouse to try and get information on building an app. Jay has not commented on the situation yet and probably will not for some time, if ever, as his former manager and business partner Dame Dash discussed the situation in a recent interview, saying that Jay was too corporate to respond.
  • Jay Z Is Not Buying Hot 97: Funkmaster Flex Introduces Show On 'Hov 97'

The rumor mill ran off the tracks the past few days with speculation that Jay Z joined a group of investors that included Carmelo Anthony (what else is he going to do now that the Knicks are so bad) to buy major New York City hip-hop radio station Hot 97 from its parent, Emmis Communications after he was attacked on air by popular and influential host and DJ Funkmaster Flex. This rumor, which came from homophobic gossip blog MediaTakeOut.com who vehemently defended their "rock solid source," has proven to be very false. We reached out for comment and a spokesperson for Emmis Communications, Kate Snedeker denied the story, stating plainly, "it is false."
  • Is Jay-Z Trying to Buy Hot 97?

Things are not well in the New York hip-hop family. Two of the biggest players in the community, Jay-Z and Funkmaster Flex, are at odds over actions reportedly taken by people at Jay-Z's site "Life + Times." There appears to be more at stake here, though. According to a report on "mediatakeout.com," citing a "rock-solid source," Jay-Z is a part of a group of investors that includes New York Knicks basketball star Carmelo Anthony who are currently in negotiations to buy Hot 97. According to the site, both sides are serious about getting the deal done. Hot 97 is the radio station where Funkmaster Flex has his own radio show.
  • Funkmaster Flex Attacks Jay-Z on Hot 97 — Twice

Funkmaster Flex is not happy with Jay-Z. Fed up with recent misconduct revolving around Jay's Life+Times website, Flex has now ripped into the Brooklyn rapper twice on Hot 97 this week. The problem stems from an interview Flex did with L+T about an app he designed. Flex claims that one of Jay's reporters asked several questions about said app but did not use any of the material. Later, Jay released a similar app, which obviously ticked Flex off. Skip ahead to Jan. 15 when an L+T reporter emailed Flex requesting an interview about a Dipset reunion. That was when he decided to hop on Hot 97 and sound off.
  • Action Bronson Freestyles for Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97 Over Alchemist/Prodigy Beat [LISTEN]

Action Bronson will release his second studio album, "Mr. Wonderful," in March. The rapper dropped his second single, "Actin Crazy," earlier this month and recently stopped by the Hot 97 studios to promote the effort. Instead of just talking about the album, Bronson showed off his rhyming skills by freestyling over an Alchemist/Prodigy beat titled "Keep It Thoro" for Funkmaster Flex and his crew. Bronson went off for four minutes, HotNewHipHop notes. Here is just a small sample of what the rapper came up with during the session: "I'm just tryna be the next George Foreman / Invent the new grill so Jadakiss can cook the base on it / I might take a s--t in some expensive jeans, I got expensive habits / My kids are mixed like Lenny Kravitz," he raps in the clip below. "It's not me rappin, it's the parrot / And if I punch you in the face, you'll never eat a motherf--kin' sandwich (Body!)." In December, Bronson revealed the official tracklist for "Mr. Wonderful," via Twitter. Check it out below:
