'Lord of The Rings' Score Performance and Film Viewing Coming to Lincoln Center
It's not tough to notice the score to the Lord of The Rings film trilogy, as Peter Jackson ensured that Howard Shore's epic score emphasized the equally epic activity onscreen. If you would prefer an even more noticeable highlight for the audio aspect of the trilogy then you'll need to head over to Lincoln Center during April 2015, when the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of Lucerne will perform the scores for all three films live while the film shows. -
Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Features Brooklyn Rider, World Premiere of Howard Shore’s “Palace Upon the Ruins”
This summer, the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 31st season in the beautiful seaside setting of Long Island’s East End. The festival kicks off on July 30 with “Russian Memories,” a free outdoor concert featuring the string music of Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Borodin, Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff.
