• FKA Twigs, Iggy Pop, Philip Glass, Sharon Jones and More to Play Tibet House Benefit Concert

    The 26th annual Tibet House Benefit Concert is scheduled to take over New York City's Carnegie Hall on February 22, 2016 and the initial lineup has just been announced. As usual, this coming year's lineup is pretty musically diverse including former Stooges frontman Iggy Pop, contemporary minimalist composer Philip Glass, funk and soul revival pioneer Sharon Jones, FKA Twigs, Basia Bulat and Dechen Shak-Dagsay and Helge van Dyk.

    The David Byrne tribute concert at Carnegie Hall last night, March 24, included some special guests performing tunes by the Talking Heads. Sharon Jones, O.A.R. and Glen Hansard were on hand to honor the singer, who also unleashed a cover of "Uptown Funk" with a marching band. The show benefited music programs for underprivileged children, 'Consequence of Sound' noted.

    The follow-up to the Alabama Shakes's debut album "Boys & Girls" is finally coming. "Sound & Color" will drop April 21, "Consequence of Sound" reported. The band shared the new album's tracklist and lead single "Don't Wanna Fight" to celebrate the announcement, which fans are undoubtedly happy about considering it has been three years since their first album was released.
