• Parklife Festival 2016 Lineup: Chemical Brothers, Major Lazer Headline

    For its seventh year in the business, the festival will again be taking place in Heaton Park on June 11 and 12 with the Chemical Brothers and Major Lazer in the forefront. Other artists on the bill include a slew of electronic favorite acts such as Jamie xx, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Skepta, Fat White Family, Blossoms and Ice Cube of N.W.A.

E Zoo has been slowly unveiling the names a few at a time each day over the past few weeks, just like its fellow SFX festival, Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld do. ID&T, the promoters of Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld, were brought in to add their creative expertise for this year and reimagine the festival, so that makes sense. Among those who are on the first phase of artists include headliners, The Chemical Brothers, Above & Beyond and Alesso.

    The Chemical Brothers have unveiled a second track from their upcoming artist album Born In The Echoes. After sharing the lead off single from the LP, "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted," Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands have unveiled one of the hotly anticipated collaborations "Go" with Q-Tip. The "Hey Boy Hey Girl" duo team up with noted, inventive, screenwriter and director Michel Gondry to direct the eccentric music video that features seven women walking around a deserted town rowing and performing synchronized dances with long metallic poles. Following up their 2010 LP, Further, the pair breaks up the longest spell of their career without releasing a studio album with Born In Echoes. The LP will feature the likes of St. Vincent, Beck and Q-Tip. To go with the album announcement, they have released the lead single from the LP titled "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted."

    Ultra Music Festival Europe has announced the first batch of artists who will be heading to Croatia in July. The festival will welcome headliners Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Zedd to the festival, while The Chemical Brothers will lead the live initiative. Ultra Europe will feature the same "Resistance" concept that is being premiered at its Miami parent festival. Carl Cox will host his own specially curated Carl Cox & Friends stage once again at the Split-based festival for another underground-leaning stage.
