• Nick Cannon Will 'Never Say Anything Negative About Mariah Carey'

    Everyone needs to calm down. Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey split in August, and rumors recently surfaced that the rapper has a diss track dedicated to his ex-wife on his next album. Cannon took to Twitter to silence those reports, assuring fans that there is nothing but love between the two, "Billboard" noted. "I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey We are forever a family rooted in love," he wrote. Cannon was addressing a comment made by producer Mally Mall to TMZ a few days ago. When asked if Cannon and Carey would have a duet on the new album, Mall said, "Nah, but he's talking about Mariah on the records. There's going to be a lot of controversy." Mall added that Cannon has good and bad things to say about his ex on the album.

    Back in October, Gucci Mane revealed his future plans in an open letter shared by MTV, and now he is asking fans to write him in prison. He recently tweeted out his address.     It seems like every day a new sexual allegation arises against Bill Cosby. He lost his potential Netflix special and NBC decided to drop his new series. There are few people in his corner and understandably so when multiple women are accusing Cosby of rape. It appears he just got the production trio J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League on his side in a series of now-deleted tweets that, among many things, said: Cosby was one of the "top 10 black people" in earth's history. Continuing that train of thought, someone on the account claims "He gets a pass" and one of Cosby's alleged victims Janice Dickinson, via "CBS News," "isn't even top 10 in any category." The production trio reminds Twitter that Cosby has not been convicted yet and he has only been ostracized in the court of public opinion: "Might I remind you, there's never been a conviction of Bill Cosby. Only a Twitter conviction" Making sure to have their moral bases covered when defending an alleged rapist, the trio distanced themselves from the act itself: "We don't condone rape, but we also don't condone accusing an innocent American of rape with no conviction."

    Garth Brooks is now on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, he is showing a real enthusiasm for the whole social media thing, but he had good reasons for staying off the sites for several years. "Well, up till August of this year, you've gotta remember, I was in my children's life," Brooks told the "Sean & Richie Show," via The Boot. "That was everything. And, no offense, I didn't feel it was right to share that." Things have changed, though. "Pretty cool now, though: The kids are all gone, we're out on tour and people want to know about that?" he said. "Heck, yeah, I can talk about that all day long." Brooks said he is personally handling his own social media posts, marked "Love, g" at the bottom. "Team Garth" is still posting regularly on both sites.

  • Kristian Alfonso Throws Shade at Notion of Peter Reckell Returning to 'Days of Our Lives'

    Way back in the 1980s, soap operas were filled with supercouples, with one of the biggest being "Days of our Lives's" Bo and Hope Brady, played by Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso. The two quickly garnered a huge fan base that, even to this day, still rallies for them to reunite. Reckell and Alfonso returned to "Days" in the '90s and had an intertwined storyline until his character was sent packing a few years ago. Reckell has said he understood that his departure was basically making room for younger leading men and that it goes with the territory. But he has never agreed with how his character left town and believes the fans deserved better than what they got. In October, a series of tweets by Reckell led fans to think there was the possibility of him returning to "Days." He later admitted that he did make some calls to producers because he believed there was a logical reason to bring him back onto the canvas. In a recent interview, Alfonso could not have agreed any less and thought that bringing the character of Bo back just to allow Hope to move on was ridiculous.

Now that he is back in the public eye, Brooks decided to join Twitter and Facebook to connect with fans, and "The Dance" singer's first-day numbers are pretty staggering. According to "CMT News," Brooks joined Twitter the morning of his album's release date, posting a selfie that currently boasts 2,141 retweets and 4,993 favorites. By Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 12, the country icon amassed 69,000 followers, which CMT figured out amounted to 45 followers every minute. As of today, Nov. 13, Brooks has more than 77,000 followers, but only follows nine people. Wife Trisha Yearwood and Brad Paisley made the cut, as well as actor Chris Pratt, "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts — whom the singer brought to tears with a tender rendition of "Mom" — and TV personality Ellen DeGeneres.

  • Philae Lander Touches Down on Comet, Harpoons Not Properly Secured to Surface

    A European spacecraft robot named Philae made history today as the 220-pound lander successfully touched down on the surface of a comet, as both hurled through space at 41,000 mph. Philae had separated from Rosetta, the mothership, and researchers spent seven extremely tense hours waiting for a signal indicating that Philae had reached its destination. The European Space Agency's celebration was short-lived, though, as it became apparent that there might be a problem with the landing. The plan was for Philae to gently set itself down on to the comet's uncertain surface and fire two harpoons into it, securing the lander so it could successfully complete a variety of scientific experiments.
