Lollapalooza Music Festival has been a staple in the world of music events for years, but not all fans know its origin. To explore the festival's history, a three-part documentary will be released later this month.

The first trailer of the docuseries "Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza" was released. It features the early beginnings of musical acts such as Lady Gaga, Green Day, Billie Eilish, Jane's Addiction, and more.

"When a car is going real, real fast, it gets harder to jump out," Perry Farrell said at the beginning of the clip.

According to Rolling Stone, Lollapalooza started 1991 as an underground event for musicians. However, through the years, it became a staple stage for the biggest names in pop culture and has since featured countless massive headliners like Lana Del Rey, Ariana Grande, the Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, and many more.

Other archival footage in the trailer featured performances from Kim Petras, Foo Fighters, Ice Cube, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Steve Aoki, Miley Cyrus, Sinead O'Connor, Questlove & the Roots, the Ramones, and many more.

The outlet noted that the docuseries will feature commentary from musicians such as Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jessica Hopper, Chance the Rapper, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and more.

Fans can watch "Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza" on May 21 on Paramount+.

In other updates, Lady Gaga did her reflection on Lollapalooza last month when her 2007 performance made rounds online.

In the video shared by the festival's official TikTok account, as reposted on X, the pop star, who was not yet famous then, performed with the Starlight Revue on the BMI stage in August 2007.

The clip featured her performance of "Summerboy," which later appeared on her debut album "The Fame."

"I made that outfit myself--bought the mirrors at M & J trimmings and glued them on the bra. that was my mic. and my disco ball. i didnt have a lot and my dub plates skipped that day," she wrote in the comment section.

Three years after taking the Lollapalooza stage for the first time, Lady Gaga became one of the headliners, and Perry Farrell even commissioned a custom stage for her show.
