In a move that merged music and cinema nostalgia, Taylor Swift orchestrated a star-studded spectacle for her latest music video, "Fortnight," enlisting the talents of Hollywood heavyweights Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles.

As the duo made cameos in the visual narrative for the song from Swift's chart-topping album, the echoes of their iconic roles in Dead Poets' Society reverberated with a new generation of fans.

Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Hawke shared the thrilling experience of reuniting with his Dead Poets' Society co-star.

"I can't imagine what it's like to walk through an airport with a friend you've known for 35 years and watch all the young people with their Eras sweatshirts on and their Taylor Swift things, and we got something on them," Hawke fondly recalled. "We're going to meet the queen ourselves."

According to Hawke, he believed that Swift wanted to put an easter egg in the music video linking their iconic Oscar-nominated film and her new album, which seemed to mirror specific themes of both titles.

The Leave The World Behind actor also recalled laughing wildly the whole day with his pal Charles during the "Fortnight" music video shoot with Swift and Post Malone. "We felt like the biggest rockstars in the world," he said.

When Colbert asked whether Hawke's two younger daughters, Clementine and Indiana, knew about his new gig, the actor responded, "You tell my teenage daughters that I'm going to meet Taylor, and everybody at school's going to know," Hawke revealed. After they discovered his cameo in the music video, he recalled that the look on his daughters' faces was "profound disappointment."

"Taylor belongs to them," Hawke confirmed. "I can't have that on them, so I had to low-key it."

Swifties were delighted to see Hawke and Charles in the "Fortnight" music video.

"The fact that she's doing this music video with ethan hawke and josh charles (the og tortured poets ) is just INSANE," a fan commented on YouTube.

"ethan hawke in the music video, the references to the other songs on the album, the clara bow inspired look and everything abt this music video in general is just perfect. i am obsessed," another raved.
