As Drake and Kendrick Lamar's rap feud intensifies, the need for the former's security and safety has to beef up, too. One day after his security guard was shot, Drake's Toronto house was almost broken into by an intruder.
Page Six reported that the Toronto Police has confirmed that a person attempted to "gain access" to his $100 million Toronto property. Notably, the said intruder was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.
Global News journalist Tracy Tong reported that she had spotted at least four police cruisers on Drake's property while driving around the area at around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Tong's source revealed that the intruder claimed that he was "here to see Drake," and security had fought him and had called the police. Reportedly, the intruder tried to enter Drake's property through the gate.
The arrest came a day after Drake's security guard was shot down on the same property. Suspects inside a vehicle shot the security guard at the time before fleeing the scene. The police have since claimed it's "too early in their investigation" to speak about a motive in the incident.

According to Toronto City News, Toronto Police Duty Inspector Paul Krawczyk shared that there is still no description of the vehicle, and it hasn't been confirmed yet whether the rapper was at home during the shooting.
"We are in contact with [Drake's] team and they are cooperating," Krawczyk added.
Meanwhile, the security guard was rushed to the hospital and is undergoing treatment for their serious condition.
"Any shooting is not welcome in this city and I hope the police will find the people that are violating the law and catch them," Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said in a statement, as quoted by BBC.
Lamar and Drake's rap feud has escalated into a huge bitter exchange of words and scathing allegations against each other. Lamar used a satellite image of Drake's Toronto mansion for the cover art of one of his diss tracks against him, "Not Like Us."
Forbes reported that in "Not Like Us," Lamar claimed that Drake had a history of relationships with underage women. He also went on to proclaim that Drake was a "certified pedophile," calling back to Drizzy's own album, Certified Lover Boy.
The track also broke Spotify's single-day streaming record for a hip-hop song, with 6.59 million streams on its first day.
