Gwen Stefani's return to pop music superstardom seems to be no glitch, but that doesn't mean that The Voice coach can't have a few malfunctions in her new music video for "Baby Don't Lie." Just one day after Stefani dropped her comeback solo single, today (Oct. 21) she released the accompanying music video, featuring some pretty trippy visual effects and a fever dream or two.

"Baby Don't Lie" kicks off with the always stunning Stefani through a gray filter mugging for the camera. Soon, the No Doubt frontwoman gets swept up in her own words and ends up in a wonderland. But don't confuse this music video for her 2000s clip for "What You Waiting For?" this one is all about '80s-style effects and fuzzy dream worlds.

Donning a white polka dot shirt and black polka dotted pants, Stefani makes her way through zigzagging paths, surrounded by pointed striped and checkered mountains before she swipes her way into a new world via her Apple iPhone ©, transporting herself into a trippy cityscape backed by some polka dot donning back dances. For the song's tribal breakdown, Stefani eventually lands herself on a real life street, sans the illusions of space and time.

The music video fits the song's strong reggae vibes, with Stefani channeling everything that's chaotic and trippy not just about her own genre but also about her single. The end of the music video finds the blonde back into the gray world, though this time she's here in full color.

Because Stefani don't lie.
