Master P was in New York City recently and stopped by The Breakfast Club to catch up with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God. Of course he talked about his recent collaboration with Lil Wayne, the banger "Power," giving credit to Mack Maine for reaching out. P continued to deny rumors that he was trying to lure Weezy over to his No Limit Forever label after unrest surfaced with Cash Money (and it's only getting worse). Things got a little heated during the convo when Charlamagne Tha God started to talk about No Limit artist Mercedes, and P also sang Troy Ave's praises, HotNewHipHop notes.

"We've been working on this," the rapper said about "Power." "Wayne, him and Mack Maine hit me about doing the record and we just swapped. It's overdue. It's all timing. Wayne been trying to get me on some records and I was going to do something with him and Rome [Romeo, Master P's son] and some of the other artists back in the day, but the timing just worked out."

The Ice Cream Man denied any beef ever existed between Cash Money and No Limit, chalking it all up to "the streets" and misunderstandings.

P had to put Charlamagne in check after he made the remark that No Limit's Mercedes has "a fat ass."

"Don't talk about Mercedes like that," he said. "No, she ain't family, but still with all my people you know how I am." Charlamagne apologized and tried to move on, but P wasn't having it.

"It's about respect. Charlamagne, you know me and you go way back. When we talk about women, I ain't gonna disrespect no hooker or nothin'. I don't do that. I'm a man. And I don't want no one disrespecting people I know," he added.

After things cooled down, P said that he'd be down for a collaboration with YG, Nipsey Hussle and Troy Ave. He respects the latter for staying true to his vision and not doing anything for the money.

"That's a good place to be though. You don't do nothin' unless that's what you believe in. And also, people do a lot of desperate stuff in this industry. So I feel like he the type of person if he keep it up and stay hood, doin' what he gotta do, he definitely gonna get to where he need to be at."
