Jasmine Garsd and Felix Contreras of NPR's Alt.Latino music blog have released their list of the best Latin alternative music and artists to come out this year. With Garsd stationed in Mexico City and Contreras posted up in Washington D.C. they scoured Latin America for music and spoke with journalists and authors about issues effecting the Latino community.

Next week, they are opening up the floor for reader picks of 2013, but for now check out their Best Of 2013 list and see if you can't find a new favorite artist!
