Steve Angello has at last announced the release date for his debut artist album Wild Youth. The former Swedish House Mafia member's solo LP will be released on November 20. To go along with the announcement, Angello unveiled the music video for his recent single "Children Of The Wild," which he teased late last week.

The release date has been set, but fans will remember at the beginning of the year he stated that the LP would be released in April, so let's hope there isn't another delay.

Fans can expect something a little different from Wild Youth than the booming festival anthems that many have grown accustomed to hearing from him.

Speaking at IMS Engage Singapore in December last year, Angello described Wild Youth. "It's electronic music, it's not dance music. It's an attempt to create a hybrid of all of the music I love and all [the] music I have been inspired by throughout all of these years, and I have made them into songs. I am not trying to do pop. A lot of producers are trying to go towards the whole EDM/pop clash, and this is different. It's more indie, melancholic, darker, but still some big songs," he said.

The "Children of the Wild" video is an appropriate visual display for the harrowing, yet hopeful track from Steve Angello and Los Angeles duo Mako. It follows a young kid as he runs through some quasi-war zone packed with burning cars, people firing weapons into the air and busted homes with sparks firing all around him.

The kid keeps on running until he finds other children of the wild like him as the track fades into silence.

The video was directed by Guillaume Panariello who stitched together several scenes without any post-production work according to Rolling Stone. Each scene was under a second long, but filmed at 1,000 frames per second, so you can see them in hyper-detailed slow motion.
