Thanks to the modern wonder of social networks, we have some teasers regarding the next Gorillaz album. Co-founder and animator Jamie Hewlett shared a number of images of the animated band's characters, as well as some in-studio footage featuring singer and Blur frontman Damon Albarn.

Aside from the founders of the band, Kanye West collaborator and GOOD Music producer Anthony "The Twilite Tone" Khan and British singer Liam Bailey are working on the Gorillaz's next record.

As Billboard points out, Bailey hinted at his involvement in the new record on Twitter just last month. Now we have some in-studio footage to confirm this news.

Hopefully we get some more updates from the Gorillaz and maybe even some audio teasers in the near future.

The last time we heard of the Gorillaz's new record was late last year, when it was announced. First, Hewlett confirmed the news that 2016 would feature new music from the animated band, and then Albarn discussed it further a little later.
