Porter Robinson and Madeon have just made their fan's dreams come true. The two highly touted dance producers have collaborated on a brand new song "Shelter." In addition to the track, the pair is going on a joint live tour this fall.

"Shelter" is what fans of both artists have been hoping for. It manages to bring together the sounds of both artists - Porter Robinson and his synth wizardry found on Worlds and then similar shimmering synths that Madeon has used over the years. The rhythm falls right in between what the two have put out on their albums and the pitched up vocal chops have Robinson written all over it. It is fun, lush and what dance music needed this summer.

The pair's relationship goes back several years to when they met on an online producing forum. It continued from there, while they were consistently named as some of the most promising young DJs of their generation. The two became good friends and have at last released a new collaboration and will go on tour together.

"Both Porter and I started working with people in-person when we started making our respective albums and appreciated how much more collaborative you can get," Madeon says in a press release. "Our intent was to make music that would reflect our friendship."

That bond is echoed by Porter Robinson who describes how easy it was to work with Madeon.

"I see enthusiasm and inspiration as the most important currency you can have when you're making music," Porter says in the release. "It's this weird sensation of being drunk on your own confidence and excitement that leads to so many creative breakthroughs. That effect was really exaggerated when we were working together."

The song is out now to stream anywhere and can be purchased on iTunes.

In addition to "Shelter," the two DJs are heading out on a joint live tour this fall. They will leave the DJ equipment at home for more involved setups that offer the ability to improvise and create new edits on the fly. It will kick off in Atlanta at the Tabernacle on Sept. 29. They will do a slew of shows around Austin City Limits in the beginning of October and then pick up the tour again in the middle of November. Some of the dates are blacked out now, so fans can still hope their city is on the list. Pre-sale tickets will be released on Aug. 15.
