Ohio-based metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada returns this October with their sixth album, Transit Blues. The forthcoming record is their first full-length on Rise Records since 2007's Plagues and follows last year's cosmically-themed EP from the band, Space.

The release of Transit Blues is preceded by the album's first single, "Daughter," unveiled by The Devil Wears Prada last month with an ominous music video from director Casey Pierce. "Daughter" joins ten other new tracks on the album produced by Dan Korneff. Watch the clip below.

Expected to be an artistic progression of TDWP's signature sound, Transit Blues seemingly takes its muse from the band's many years touring. As lead vocalist Mike Hranica told Metal Hammer last year, the musicians' life spent on the road has come with its share of drawbacks:

"Touring is hard work, and as I age I've had more issues health-wise. I feel very much like an old man and I'm not even 27 yet! A lot of that has come from touring. I have a really hard time playing hot shows, doing summer tours. I have anxiety problems and I guess that kind of evolved from my depression when I was a kid. Now it's just anxiety."

Although TDWP delivers heavy sounds and frequently covers dark subjects, the band proudly proclaims their Christian standpoint. In an interview with insideSTL via CBS Sports Radio, rhythm guitarist Jeremy DePoyster elaborated on the group's musical vision as led by their faith:

"You could say there's a spiritual thing in writing music. It's not like you just come up with things by your own will. In my mind ... there is some spiritual thing moving through me that comes up with these things. It's more so in the message that we [reflect our religion] and we said every show what that message is and just try to reflect it through our lives."
