The Neil Young Bridge School Benefit, which takes place annually at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, has announced a stacked lineup for this year's event on Oct. 22 and 23.
The 30th annual acoustic charity concert will feature Neil Young & Promise Of The Real, rock heavyweights Metallica, Roger Waters, My Morning Jacket, and Willie Nelson. Norah Jones, Cage The Elephant, Nils Lofgren, and case/lang/viers will also play free sets.
All proceeds from the charity concert go to The Bridge School, an organization that educates children who have severe speech and physical impairments, and helps them to achieve full participation in their own communities. Tickets for the Bridge School Benefit went on sale the last week of August, and have hit the resale market. As it stands, tickets are currently averaging $316.
Tickets for each day are available separately and for Saturday, Oct. 22, they are averaging $270, with the cheapest ticket priced at $55. On Sunday, Oct. 23, tickets are currently averaging $397, while the cheapest ticket priced at just $57, according to data provided by TicketIQ.
The first ever Bridge School Benefit was held on Oct. 13, 1986 and has since featured legendary acts like Elton John, Pearl Jam, Bonnie Raitt and more. This year not only serves as the 30th anniversary, but also marks the return of the majority of the artists on the bill.
Many of the artists appearing this year have been seen at the benefit in years past, including My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson and Metallica, who have all appeared three times, Norah Jones, who has appeared five, and Dave Matthews, who has been seen at the show seven times. Nils Lofgren, who appeared at the first ever benefit in 1986, as well as four others, is also slated to perform at this year's event.
