'Tis the season for festival lineups and Forecastle is joining in on the fun. The Louisville, Kentucky Festival has tabbed LCD Soundystem, Weezer and Odesza to top its 2017 billing. This is the first show that LCD Soundsystem has announced for 2017 thus far.
Also included on the billing includes Cage the Elephant, PJ Harvey, Run The Jewels, Vince Staples, Conor Oberst, GRiZ, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats and Modern Baseball.
The lineup boasts a diverse offering of acts. There will be some dance at the top of the bill with Odesza, GRiZ, Cashmere Cat and LCD Soundsystem to some degree. Rock is still the primary genre at Forecastle with Weezer, Cage the Elephant, X Ambassadors, Modern Baseball, Beach Slang and others on the bill. Some hip-hop also permeates the lineup with acts such as Run The Jewels, Vince Staples and Waka Flocka Flame.
This is only the first wave of artists, but it seems to cover most of the headliners for Forecastle. The festival will take place on the banks of the Ohio River at Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky from July 14-16, 2017.
