Spotify is aiming high with its next potential hire. The streaming service is jokingly courting Barack Obama with a job title just for him "President of Playlist" after Obama made a joke with Sweden's outgoing Ambassador. According to Natalia Brzezinski - wife of the former US ambassador to Sweden, he joked, "I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify... Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist." That prompted a response form Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify, and official job posting for Obama to apply to.

"Hey @BarackObama, I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify," Ek wrote on Twitter. "Have you seen this one?"

The job listing asks for "eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation" and a Nobel Peace Prize, among its other specific qualifications. It asks if the applicant has good relationships with a wide range of artists and musicians (which Obama does) and even "had Kendrick Lamar play at your birthday bash?"

The "what you'll do" section gives some direction for what Obama would do with this hypothetical job.

He would "Identify and substantiate new playlist ideas, e.g. from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name."

President Obama has used Spotify as a way to give the American people an idea as to what type of music he is listening to at the moment. He has put together a wide range of playlists that are for the nighttime, daytime, holidays and summer. Artists that have been included on these playlists include Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, The Jackson 5, Nat King Cole, Beyoncé, Rolling Stones, Chance The Rapper and Ray Charles.

He has also worked with musicians to try and activate them for various initiatives he is passionate about such as criminal justice reform and the Brother's Keeper Initiative.
