There is less than 24 hours until the United States of America swears in a new president. Barack Obama will leave the oval office and Donald Trump will begin his four-year reign. First the major celebration must be presided over and the controversy over who will perform and who won't seem to stop. Tom Barrack, Trump's long-time friend and the chair of his Presidential Inaugural Committee, said that they did not ask Kanye West to perform at the inauguration because it is going to "typically and traditionally American."

Speaking to CNN's Erin Burnett, Barrack spoke about why they didn't include Kanye in the "perfect" inauguration.

"We haven't asked him," he told CNN. "He considers himself a friend of the President-elect, but it's not the venue. The venue we have for entertainment is filled out, it's perfect, it's going to be typically and traditionally American, and Kanye is a great guy but we just haven't asked him to perform. We move on with our agenda."

Kanye West has praised Donald Trump over the past few months. He first made his stance very public at a concert in San Jose in November, saying he would have voted for the President-elect. Then he met with Donald at the Trump Tower in New York City to discuss "multi-cultural issues" and "bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."

It has been rumored that since they have formed a bond since the election that Trump might ask Kanye to perform at one of the inaugural parties, but as we can see, he just wasn't traditionally American enough. Whatever that means. Instead you have 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith as your main concert headliners today and a few other monster acts like Jackie Evancho, Big & Rich and Sam Moore doing other parties.
