The official trailer for “The Walking Dead” Season 8 that came out last month left a lot of fans excited for Episode 1. The preview lasted for more than five minutes and teased interesting details and exciting action scenes. The coming season was earlier revealed to be about the All Out War against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Those who will survive the battle will never be the same again according to “The Walking Dead” Season 8 spoilers. In the trailer’s final scene, an older Rick (Andrew Lincoln) can be shown with grey hair and a long beard. He was lying in bed with a cane nearby. Rick’s condition could be the result of the All Out War.

At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, series creator Robert Kirkman revealed that fans will get to see the older Rick right from “The Walking Dead” Season 8 first episode. Kirkman, however, left fans hanging if the tv series will follow the comic book version’s direction where Rick aged after a time jump.

Kirkman teased that Rick could be waking up from a coma according to Screenrant. But, he admitted that the intriguing change in Rick was purposely put in the trailer to keep fans of the show excited and curious for the first episode of “The Walking Dead” Season 8.

Coincidentally, the upcoming season premiere also happens to be the show’s 100th episode reports Entertainment Weekly. The cast and crew came out with a video on the show’s official Facebook page to commemorate the milestone. Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride appear to thank the fans.

Lead actor Andrew Lincoln addressed the fans while leaning sideways on a tree saying, “We’re in the hundreds now, ladies and gentlemen. And I would like to thank you all for being a part of this journey with me and my fellow survivors.”
