It's a big year for music festivals, as always. On the heels of Coachella 2018 announcing its lineup for 2018 — headlined by no less than Beyoncé — the much-anticipated Governors Ball has also announced its performers for June's big show.

This year's festival is headlined by Eminem, Jack White, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Travis Scott, each representing the best of their individual genres. As is the case with these festivals, the lineup reveals a pretty spectacular undercard with artists such as Halsey, Khalid, CHVRCHES, Post Malone, Lil Uzi Vert, and ton of others also included.

The Governors Ball Music Festival 2018 will take place on June 1 to 3 on Randall's Island in New York City. It is the eighth show overall, with the festival having started in 2011.

The upcoming festival is extra special because of several things. Notably, it'll mark hip-hop and rock band N.E.R.D.'s first time performing in New York since 2010. Grammy-winning producers Diplo and Mark Ronson are also set to debut their new duo project, Silk City. Plus, the Gaslight Anthem will reunite to perform their 2008 album The '59 Sound in its entirety, hailed by critics as one of the best albums of that year. It would be sacrilege for music lovers to miss this one.

Among the other artists set to perform at the festival are Cut Copy, Sylvan Esso, Russ, 2 Chainz, Belly, Flight Facilities, Wolf Alice, Alice Merton, Sir Sly, Mikky Ekko, and more. It's clear hip-hop, EDM, and indie acts load the bill for the festival, which seems like a pleasantly diverse enough roster.

For Eminem, the Governors Ball is the second festival this year in which he's one of the headlining artists. What's the first one? No other than Coachella, of course. In April, he'll be heading to Indio, California, with The Weeknd and, as mentioned, Beyoncé. Also performing at this year's Coachella festival are SZA, alt-J, Post Malone, Fleet Foxes, and a ton of others.

For Jack White, the Governors Ball will mark his first major solo performance since he finished touring in support of 2014's Lazaretto, his second album as a solo act. White is originally from The White Stripes.
