Ed Sheeran's 2018 North American Stadium Tour Gets 8 More Dates
Following his Grammys 2018 victory, Ed Sheeran is adding eight more stops in his North American Stadium Tour this year.
The 26-year-old British singer-songwriter will perform in major cities across the United States starting August in Pasadena, California. The tour's last stop will be in Atlanta, Georgia on Nov. 10.
The cities he added to his anticipated tour are San Francisco (Aug. 21), Detroit (Sept. 8), Pittsburgh (Sept. 30), Chicago (Oct. 4), Nashville (Oct. 6), and Milwaukee (Oct. 23). Foxboro in Massachusetts and East Rutherford in New Jersey are also getting additional shows on Sept. 14 and Sept. 21 respectively.
Sheeran will perform at a total of 23 shows in 21 venues in North America from August to November.
The "Perfect" singer will also be touring major cities around the world in the coming months. Starting next month, he will be in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Japan, Ireland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland.
Registration for the tour's "Fan Presale" will be open until Thursday, Feb. 08, at 10 p.m. ET. The official presale period will begin on Feb. 12, Monday, at 10 a.m. ET and will last until next Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10 p.m.
The award-winning singer is currently promoting his latest album Divide (÷) which was released in March last year. The album, which won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2018 Grammys, was a massive commercial success.
With so many concerts scheduled for the rest of the year, it is going to be difficult for the "Shape of You" singer to plan his upcoming wedding to his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn. Sheeran proposed to his girlfriend back in January.
According to an insider, the couple hired a wedding planner to make their upcoming union perfect despite the bride and groom's busy schedule.
"Ed's hired a wedding planning team and has given them an unlimited budget — insisting he just wants it to be the best party ever," said a source. "Guests will dine on traditional favorites like bangers and mash and pie and gravy — as well as being able to drink beers and ales, instead of champagne and cocktails."
Famous guests will reportedly include Harry Styles, Cara Delevingne, and Taylor Swift.
