Rihanna, N.E.R.D.'s 'Lemon' Shoots Up To No. 1 Spot On Billboard Rhythmic Songs Chart
Rihanna now has 17 number 1 songs on the Rhythmic Songs chart after "Lemon," her collaboration with N.E.R.D, leaped to the top spot this week.
The song was released in November from N.E.R.D's new album No_One Ever Really Dies.
According to Nielsen Music, "Lemon" experienced an 8 percent increase in plays this week, helping the song leap from the fourth spot to the top of the chart in the week ending on Feb. 4. This is the first time that the track dominated the chart since it was released.
"Lemon" also makes Rihanna the only woman to have more than 10 songs to land on the top of Billboard's Rhythmic Songs chart. Right now, Drake leads the pack with 19 number 1 tracks while Usher trails at the third spot with 13 number 1 songs so far.
The Rhythmic Songs chart has been around since 1992.
Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and Cardi B's "Finesse" finally entered the Top 10 of the Rhythmic Songs chart this week thanks, in part, to the live performance of the track at the 2018 Grammy Awards. The song leaped from number 11 to the top 5.
Drake's new song, "God's Plan," is currently on the 12th spot of the chart.
Here are the Top 10 tracks on the Rhythmic Songs chart this week:

"Lemon" also gave bad girl Riri her 50th Top 40 Billboard Hot 100. On Jan. 22, the song made a massive leap from the number 50 spot to number 40 in just a week.
Among every musician in the history of the chart, Elvis Presley leads the pack with a total of 80 songs that entered the Top 40. Among female artists, only one singer has more hits than Rihanna: Taylor Swift who boasts of 55 Top 40 songs. Madonna has 49.
The Beatles also have 50 songs that entered the Top 40 of the Hot 100.
Meanwhile, N.E.R.D, fronted by Pharrell Williams, now has their first Top 40 hit.
Rumors claim that the 29-year-old pop superstar might be working on a new album this year. Her last solo work, the album Anti, was released back in 2014.
Rihanna has been busy building a fashion and beauty empire for the past year, but Nana Rogues, a music producer, teased in an interview that new music from the Barbadian singer might be dropping this year.
