Beyoncé just entered a new era of music as she released two new songs from her upcoming album "Act II" which is the continuation of "Renaissance" but this time, the singer dives into the world of country music. More recently, a country radio station came under fire for refusing to play her new track; could this be true?

It all began on X, formerly known as Twitter, when a user named @jussatto shared a screenshot of an email from a small country station in Ada, Oklahoma, called KYKC, which stated that they "do not play Beyonce'" because they are "a country music station."

The user expressed their disappointment, as they wrote in the caption, "I requested Texas Hold 'Em at my local country radio station (KYKC) and after requesting. I received an email from the radio station stating' We do not play Beyoncé on KYKC as we are a country music station.'"

The rant didn't stop there as the user who posted the screenshot went on to say that the radio station needs to be held accountable for "their blatant racism and discrimination against Beyoncé."

The user tagged the radio station's X account and told them that their move was "absolutely ridiculous and racist."

"You guys should be ashamed. I grew up listening to your station," they added.

A news outlet reached out the user and asked what message he sent to the radio station and they found out that he had requested the track "Texas Hold 'Em" because for them, it should've been obvious that the track revolves around country music.

Management of the Country Radio Station Speaks Out

The outlet later got in contact with KYKC and one of the staff members spoke out about the matter and the reason why they refused to play the track was because they hadn't received the songs yet.

They also reached out to a similar country radio station, KECO in Elk City, who told them the same.

It's unclear if both stations are aware that Beyoncé dropped country songs, but the outlet noted that the answer appears to be no.

In other updates about Beyoncé, the singer appeared in a Verizon advertisement that aired last Sunday during the Super Bowl. The main concept of the commercial was Beyoncé breaking the internet, but could she break the company's connection?

In the end, the musician failed to do so that's why she announced new music and then later dropped "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages."

The singer will release a brand new album this coming March 29, 2024.
