Soulful singer songwriter Skylar Grey is finally ready to come from behind the scenes and release her debut album.  Skylar, the protégé of Detroit native rapper Eminem, released her latest single "Back From the Dead," featuring Big Sean and Travis Barker.

While Skylar has performed vocals and hooks for the likes of Diddy, Eminem, Dr. Dre and more, it was her notable 2011 Grammy Award performance on "I Need A Doctor," with Eminem and Dr. Dre that had the internet and fans buzzing about the songstress.

According to Rolling Stone Skylar and Eminem have been hard at work, as she is excited to share the album, executively produced by Eminem with the world.

"I just wanted to get music out so that I could start playing shows and promoting the album," Grey told Rolling Stone. Sklyar released a few songs from the album already this year.  "Wear Me Out," comes after "C'mon, Let Me Ride," and "Final Warning."

"I believe in hearing more than one song, because there are so many different sides to the album," she said to Rolling Stone. "So we came up with a plan, which is putting the album out July 9th, but before that putting out four singles where I do a little video for each one, just to get a lot of music out there."
